Hi Andrew , it would follow what Oracle did in 11.0.13-oracle and what Azul did successfully in 13.0.10 please see https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8261169 , those are all older / established releases .

I don't think it is appropriate to break existing build setups on a 3+ year old JDK.
