I don't have a particular opinion with respect to downloading vs.
bundling, but it sounds like you're leaning toward downloading. One
additional benefit here is that users can download updated versions of the
dependencies without needing to get a new Buildbot package, thereby taking
advantage of new versions of Jinja, Twisted, etc. even if we haven't
rebuilt the Buildbot package.
As for using Fossil - there's no harm at the moment, but for future
maintainability I'd like to get this into the main Buildbot repository, so
I may just copy it over when it's ready.
If you're interested in adding support for Fossil to Buildbot, please open
another bug. I don't have a good feeling for how widely used Fossil is -
do you think this would be beneficial to others?
