I have Python 2.6.6 installed on my box. I tried this scenario on Debian
and Gentoo (both with python 2.6.6) to be sure that this is not specific
to Debian and got the same results. Running with python 2.7 did the trick.
Note that with virtualenv set up I also got all the files inside the
tarball.
