#1982: handle UnauthorizedLogin exceptions on the slave

Right now, these are unhandled failures and cause the slave to stop re-
trying. They should be handled, and the slave should retry using its
normal backoff schedule - as often as not, the slave's password is wrong
(or missing) on the master, so retrying can help.
