My colleague has implemented DRMAA-based latent slaves in 0.8.4p2, and
we're about to port it to 0.8.8 on Monday. He said it was very easy to
implement, and it's working fine with Grid Engine now, and we'll be using
it with HTCondor after the upgrade.
