Precommit is pretty useful to see if other folks are having problems
with patch testing and what is dependent upon precommit-admin. It isn’t really
well known which projects are doing it, what those projects are using, etc. So
having a TLV of all of them is nice. (I’m fairly certain it was set up back in
the day by Nigel when Y! was doing most of the QA work on ASF Hadoop-ecosystem
projects. Since then, that work has obviously splintered and grown. As a
result, that community--outside of Yetus--is relatively ad hoc.)
