Currently our client a Multinational Mining Company based in Central
of Sulawesi, Indonesia is seeking for high qualified candidates to
fill the senior Level position.

Job Title: Sr. Manager of Government Relations & Community Development

Location: Central of Sulawesi, Indonesia

JOB PUPROSE / ROLE;

Ensure of creating and maintaining mutual trust relationships with
stake holder (Government, community, NGO and people's organization)
and developing a self-reliant community, in order to obtain social
licenses for Company project and protection areas which will support
Company long-term goals.

GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES (All Employees will be accountable for the
following):

•Informing the manager regarding progress on tasks and report 
 immediately when a judgment is made that the output targets cannot 
 be met, or more can be achieved.
•Asking the manager for clarification, when needed, on what is 
 expected of the role.
•Taking the initiative to improve the work, the overall business, and 
 promote the goals of organization.
•Working effectively and collaterally with immediate colleagues and 
 others in cross-functional relationships, on tasks within the 
 context of corporate policy, values, and culture.

MANAGER ACCOUNTABILITIES (All Managers will be accountable for the
following):

Implementing Key Managerial Practices such as follows:
•Developing a plan to achieve own goals and the goals of the 
 department.
•Facilitating two-way managerial teamwork.
•Establishing tasks reporting procedures and measurements.
•Conducting Performance and Personal Effectiveness Appraisal (PPEA)
•Performing selection, induction, de-selection and dismissal.
•Championing Employee Development Plan (i.e.; Succession Plan, 
 rotation, etc).
•Facilitating continuous improvement.

MANAGER-once-Removed (MoR) ACCOUNTABILITIES (All MoRs will be
accountable for the following):

•Maintaining the talent pool of subordinate-one-removed (SoRs).
•Providing mentoring and career planning to help SoRs achieve 
 aspirations within future organizational requirements.
•Assessing SoRs current ability and matching capability with 
 organizational requirements (staffing).
•Equilibrating manager's assessment of SoRs personal 
 effectiveness/performance to ensure fairness and equity across all 
 departments.
•Ensuring direct reports are exercising sound leadership practices..
•Negotiating and clarifying the key cross boundary relationships for 
 SoRs.


Breakdown of the purpose of the role into key elements;

1). Develop mutual trust relations with Local Government that will 
    support Company 
    long-term business and showing Company business ethic. 
2). Develop activities showing Company existence at Contract of Work 
    (CoW) area and protecting Company  CoW area that will ensure the 
     Company can use the area when needed.
3). Develop capacity building for Local Government, community leader 
    and DPRD (stake holders) related to Contract of Work and Good 
    Mining Practice to respect Company Existence & Contract of Work.
4). Develop & maintain relations with Government to ensure 
    permits/license/ supporting letter required for Company operation 
    & project are obtained in time manner, particularly social 
    lisences of Company business plan.
5). Develop a long-term game plan for community development programs 
    that will result a self-reliant community who are supportive to 
    Company long-term strategic goals.
6). Synchronize all Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives, 
    especially for community development long-term programs with 
    multi-year basis and integrate those programs with district local 
    development plan.
7). Seize opportunities to forge strategic partnership with national 
    and international agencies to support Company community 
    development program in the whole area of Contract of Work.
8). Develop long-term strategic partnership with Non-Government 
    Organizations (NGOs), particularly for the locals to maximize
    Company effort and commitment to perform a strong Corporate
    Social Responsibility initiative.
9). Develop a grand scenario for establishing a social foundation 
    that will likely taking over the whole project implementation of 
    Company sustainable CSR and ensure that the foundation will work 
    comprehensively in accordance with Company business ethics.
10). Set up guidelines and mechanism for a comprehensive conflict 
     resolution in accordance with Company business conduct. Conflict 
     often times involve community, local government and local NGOs 
     in demanding Company for compensation and other benefits.

Education
•University Degree in Social Science preferably in Sociology, 
 Anthroplogy, Legal and other relevant social sciences.

Experience

•Minimum Five years experience in dealing/having work relations with 
 government (central government, provincial or regional government).
•Experience in processing permits/licenses to government in relation 
 to contract of work or other Mining permits.
•Five years as research leader in community development projects.
•Project manager in community development area that was funded by 
 international institution (JICA, USAID, AUSAID, etc.)
•Experience in rising fund, developing and leading a long-term 
 community development project.
