I did not think of this until after our conference call today and I wanted to bunch the idea off the group.... As noted on the call today, the AMA guidelines give instruction to follow the local practice when billing anesthesia. Would there be value if the policy guidelines were changed to say that anesthesia should to be billed in minutes. Because the 837 guides are changing to accommodate this, wouldn't this bring the two in sync with one another and bring clarity to the issue? Thanks!
