As a payer we are currently ready to receive HIPAA Compliant transactions. However, we are finding that quite a few people may be filing for an extension. We have contracted with a clearinghouse who will not be filing for an extension as well.
My question is if we are doing business through the clearinghouse and the payers / vendors that are also using the clearinghouse filed for an extension, can we continue to receive Non-HIPAA Compliant data from the Clearinghouse?
