Role: Cognos Developer Duration: 4-6 Months Location: Chicago Rate: Competitive The company has two Cognos conversions they are looking for this person to complete. One being a conversion from Cognos 1.1 to 8.4, creating Data Models and recreating reports. The application that requires the major effort for this 1.1 to 8.4 is called NRS (Network Reporting Services) which uses Oracle. The other conversion is from 8.2 to 8.4 upgrade, ETL knowledge would definitely very good. The name of the application needing the 8.2 to 8.4 upgrade is PDR (Provider Data Repository) which is a data warehouse which uses ETL extensively.
