Role: Java Developer Location:Chantilly, VA
Duration: 6-8 Months Rate: $45/hr. This position is a Java Developer, but the candidate needs to be willing to develop in ESQL (embedded SQL) as well. Job Description The Sr. Developer will work under the direction of the Director Application Development and Application Development Team Lead in performing analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of Clearinghouse database-driven application programs on Informix platform. The incumbent will assist the development team in providing comprehensive support for existing and new applications, and will offer expertise regarding methods, standards and technical considerations for software applications. The Clearinghouse is seeking a candidate with an excellent background in computer systems and a proven ability to learn quickly and successfully complete new assignments. The Sr. Developer will be working in an Agile/Scrum environment where the focus is on the team work and ownership of each project. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Position may be required to perform other duties as required. • Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug ESQL/C applications to support business requirements • Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug multi-tier database-driven Java/Web applications and components. • Provide level 2 and 3 technical support for Clearinghouse software applications. • Diagnose problems, troubleshoot and develop technical solutions independently with minimal technical or managerial guidance. • Create and maintain technical documentation. • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment where the focus is on the team work and ownership of each project. • Coach less-experienced team members. EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: • At least 6 years hands-on professional software development. • At least 5 years of hands-on SQL. • At least 3 years of backend ETL process development. • At least 2 years of Client/Server web application development. • Minimum one year of hands-on development on an Agile/Scrum team. • Knowledge of C and/or C++, Unix Scripting, Java, ASP, JavaScript, and HTML. • Knowledge of a variety of computer software, network systems, operating systems, and installation procedures. • Strong communication skills. • Knowledge of XML and Web Service application development. • Knowledge of Oracle and Informix databases. • Knowledge of Powerbuilder. • Experience in maintaining MS ASP programs. • Experience in maintaining Informix ESQL/C or Pro*C programs. • Technical Support, Customer Service or Help Desk experience in software development environment. *RAJESH ….**?*** Phone : 734-591-3562 X 1177 Fax : 734-418-2603 Email : [email protected] | [email protected] |Yahoo IM : rajeshk_aim |www.aim-cc.com *P* Please do not print this email unless it is absolutely necessary.
