Job Title :Oracle DBA Location :Saint Pete, FL Duration :1 Months Contract Rate :$45/hr on C-to-C Full Requirement : SUMMARY: Data Warehouse Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for enterprise-wide administration of the enterprise data warehouse running on the Netezza DBMS platform. The DBA supports both internal and external customers corresponding to the application or use of the database. The primary DBA focus is database design for application enhancements and ongoing process improvement to minimize operational maintenance of the database, disk space, and data loads. QUALIFICATIONS: * 3+ years experience in hardware and software management * Database background required (minimum 3 years) * Database design and data modeling background required * Experience with the software development lifecycle including: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and production support * Experience with multi-terabyte mission critical Data Warehouse and/or multi-gigabyte On Line Transactional Databases * Application Development experience preferred * Exposure to Business Intelligence software * Strong understanding of relational database technology including data modeling (logical and physical) experience * Experience with the software development lifecycle including: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and production support. * Experience supporting a multi-terabyte Data Warehouse (Netezza, Teradata, Greenplum, AsterData, Oracle Exadata, DB2, etc.). Optionally multi-gigabyte On Line Transactional Database * Good understanding of SQL in accessing and manipulating data * General understanding of system architecture.
