*Position: Business Systems Analyst – Quote to Cash* Location: Palo Alto, CA
Duration: 3+ months (Strong chances of extension) Description: This position will be responsible for leading the Quote to Order track in a major project. Included in the scope of this position are the understanding of Quote to Order process, Renewal Quoting process and map to standard process and systems, work with PM in planning, and execution. Position requires strong hands on experience in configuration, setup of Oracle ERP applications in Order Management, Service Contracts, Install Base and Inventory modules. This position will work with IT development, QA , Business, DBA and other IT personnel as needed during the implementation process, ensuring compliance with Change and Release Management policies and procedures. Responsibilities • Participate and understand detailed processes of the Quote to Order, Renewals Quoting business cycle. Involve in high level understanding of other business process that impact QTO cycle. • Transform current business process into VMware’s process and/or utilize best process approach to arrive at the to-be process. • Understand and document business processes comparing against capabilities within Oracle ERP modules and/or other software solutions. • Analyze gap between processes and systems, provide recommendation to process owners. • Facilitate and Lead meetings with process owners, drive decisions using process analysis, process flow and other techniques that will help in arriving at a decision. • Work with development, QA teams to review business requirements, analyze and propose possible solutions with minimal customization to the core ERP functionality. • Review Business Requirements Document, Write Functional Requirements Document; prepare process flow diagrams, high level use and test cases for review with development and QA. Configuration of Oracle ERP or other systems supporting this process. •Perform unit testing of developed functionality as needed. • Facilitate and conduct CRP and UAT testing cycle with business, support the go-live cut over process. • Act as a liaison between business and IT development, QA and other teams. • Conduct end user training, prepare user documentation as needed. Experience • Demonstrated experience in business process and systems. Experience • Eight (8+) or more years of strong business process knowledge in Order to Cash cycle, 5+ years of implementing Oracle ERP applications. • Strong hands on experience in configuration, setup of Oracle ERP applications in Order Management, Service Contracts, Install Base and Inventory modules. • Technical knowledge of Oracle applications tables, data structure and flow a plus. • Experience in software industry a plus. • Ability to work with both business focused personnel and technology focused personnel to achieve the overall needs. • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, etc). • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with strong presentation skills. • Experience in influencing large teams in a matrix managed environment; demonstrated ability to collaborate across IT and business unit organizations. • Understanding of project/program management principles, SDLC processes, with explicit experience in the application of these principles to IT applications environments.
