It will be extended to support the disparate OSPFMon tools as well. Job Description: The contractor will do design and development and some systems engineering. Design and develop route monitoring tools as part of the research to development transition of BGPMon and OSPFMon. Work will include productizing and deploying new BGPMon system to replace the various legacy systems. Designing and developing a central data collection and analysis engine. In addition, support for IPv6 is also needed. Work with customers, developers, infrastructure engineers, and other service planners/designers to assess, design and develop new feature/service requests. Identify specific new features, capabilities, and services. Develop statements of work. Where required, develop feature/service descriptions and architectures, and identify service requirements. As project priorities and schedules shift, the contractor will also need to help out on the content routing team as well. Work with customers, account team, product management, developers, infrastructure engineers, and other service planners/designers to assess, design and develop test case scenarios. Work with team to verify end to end functionality as well as support of project deliverables. Must be familiar with DNS, IP, architecture, BGP, UNIX, infrastructure, web hosting, and service delivery. Must be able to work with many internal organizations and customers to plan, define, design, develop and deploy services and features. Must be able to communicate clearly technical issues on services and features. Ability to work independently and in an ambiguous environment. Strong preference to candidates that have worked on projects from scratch, not just updates to existing components. Ability to develop test tools is highly desirable.
