Lauderdale, FL* *Rate: 45/hr on C2C(We can offer) * *Duration: 6 months plus* *Will interview over the phone this week. 2 phone interviews and one skype interview to hire.* POSITION DESCRIPTION: Global Financial company needs a Java Web Developer to design and build intranet applications using thin, browser-based clients, server side Java, Oracle, WebSphere Application Server. The ideal candidate will have extensive development experience with J2EE, pure Java development, Struts, HTML, JSPs, Javascript, Java Beans, WebSphere Application Server, Jetspeed and IBM/Apache HTTP server in a Unix environment, Sun/Solaris. Additionally, it is preferred that the candidate have several years of experience with RUP. II*. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:* • Build and enhance mission critical intranet applications to support financial services activities. • Contribute to all phases (SDLC) of the development of new systems and the enhancement and support of existing systems. • Accurately estimate development time required and completes development within estimate. • Design, develop with IBM Rational tools, and test browser-based client applications using Apache web server, Websphere Application Server, and J2EE MVC based Java programming in a Sun/Solaris environment. III. *EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:* • GPA 3.5+ with 4 years B.S degree major in mathematics or computer science. • Strong hands on Java skills with 5+ successful Java/WebSphere projects delivering security, reliable, efficient software product. Java 2 programming certified by Sun is a plus. • 3+ years experience in design and development of Internet/intranet, Java applications within a RUP methodology using IBM Rational Tools (Eclipse, WSAD, Rational Application Developer, Requisite Pro, etc.) • 4+ years experience in design and development of JMS/MQ based application. • 4+ years development of SQL programs and stored procedures using Oracle.
