Need a LAMP Admin Location: New York, NY
Duration: 6+ months Rate:open Looking for a SR Web application administrator with experience in managing high traffic, consumer-facing web sites running the LAMP stack. Some of clients web sites use Drupal so a knowledge of Drupal management is also needed. Skills Needed: * At least five years experience in systems and application administration for web sites * At least three years experience managing high volume, consumer-facing web sites on LAMP * Experience installing and configuring Drupal and its modules in a production environment. * Experience with troubleshooting issues with Drupal installations in a production environment. * Proficiency in Apache , PHP , Mysql, and Linux * Good knowledge of and other languages and tools commonly used in the web environment. * Experience with version control systems like subversion * Good knowledge of server hardware and networking * Knowledge of Java, Oracle, Solr, or Teamsite is a plus * Good communication skills, both verbal and written are essential to this role as the candidate will be helping developers and users install, configure, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot web applications on the LAMP stack in a highly trafficked, consumer-facing web site environment.
