Position will go thru the end of the year, could go longer.* * * *Candidate must be a .NET developer with QA testing experience. min 8+ yrs of exp. thanks!!* * * *Role Description*: The IP Delivery Automation Engineer is a contract position with the Cranbury based technology lab and requires a passion for and expertise designing and deploying a robust test automation infrastructure leveraging the latest tools and techniques for Microsoft based software application development. Experience should include both QA and development (.Net) with the responsibility of building and maintaining a large test framework. This candidate will help the core team build and maintain an effective build/test/release infrastructure while maintaining the highest application quality to support AP’s video-based news initiatives. *Responsibilities:* ·Collaborate with the core development team to design and prioritize automation framework features. ·Work directly with the core team creating, enhancing and maintaining the platform framework using the latest tools and technology such as such as NUnit, MS Test, TFS, Team City, VMware, Subversion, Hyper-V, etc. ·Design & build automated test frameworks to cover Windows Workflow, SQL Server Service Broker, transcoding software like Telestream, and satellite delivery software and hardware like Kencast and FAZZT ·Create tools and processes to measure automation progress for the team as a whole, individual teams and individual developers. ·Monitor and respond to problems in the test automation system. ·Work with members of individual teams to diagnose and resolve automation test failures. *Required Skills/Experience:* ·Experience with automated tests and test frameworks. ·At least 6 years of software development and/or QA automation experience. ·Strong knowledge and experience in object oriented design (especially with .Net), database, and enterprise service programming. ·Experience developing and/or testing SQL Service Broker, Windows Workflow, satellite delivery systems and service components using frameworks/products such as WCF, WF, Kencast and FAZZT ·Experience testing transcoding products like Telestream. ·Strong background in XML, XSD, XSLT and experience working with XML compare tools such as XML Spy, Stylus Studio, and Beyond Compare. ·Video domain knowledge including experience with different video file formats, standards, and transcoding processes. ·Experience with quality control of large file transfer & conversion processes. ·Ability to establish credibility with development and business groups quickly. ·Excellent communication and relationship skills. ·Work independently and in conjunction with a team of senior system and application development engineers. ·Meet ambitious and aggressive plans with creative and innovative solutions. ·Knowledge of the state-of-the-art in incremental builds, test frameworks, build frameworks and continuous testing. ·Development experience of build, development, automation or release infrastructure. ·Experience with Agile development methodology. ·Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
