Role: Solution Architect
Location: GREENSBORO, NC
Duration: 6+ months
Rate:60/hr on C2C
Description:
- Solution Architects are responsible for defining the technical vision
within and across products and enterprise domains and assuring the vision
aligns with defined business objectives.
- Solution Architects act as a bridge between the business subject matter
experts and technology implementers.
- This role is responsible for assuring the technical vision is realized
through guidance, mentoring and governance of application development teams.
Experience Level Description:
- The experience level is defined as having 10+ years in the IT space and
6+ years in the specific technology set they are recruited for.
- Resources at this level would be expected to take on leadership roles
across multi-functional teams.
- A Solution Architect will display excellent oral and written
communication skills and posses the ability to speak and listen effectively.
- This resource will be skilled at facilitating effective meetings and
distilling the information delivered into a vision that can be interpreted
by technical and non-technical resources.
- Solution Architects exhibit a high level of professional flexibility
and volunteer innovative new ideas
Responsibilities:
- Work with Business Units and Lead Software Engineers to review business
drivers, needs and strategies and understand the implications to application
architecture.
- Solution Architects have the ability to execute hands-on development of
complex components and systems
- Establish traceability processes between requirements and detailed
application design
- Ensure all technical architecture deliverables are consistent with
standards
- Provide support / guidance to the development teams during the
analysis, development, and testing processes
- Provide expert knowledge of application architecture, and consult
business and technology teams when application architecture knowledge is
needed
- Creativity and ability to think outside-the-box while defining sound
and practical solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of architecture-based SDLC
and its deliverables; 4+1 Architecture Views.
Experience:
- Experience in logical architecture (business entities, data flows).
- Experience in process architecture (functional verticals, processes,
services).
- Experience in implementation architecture (components, classes,
application frameworks, technologies).
- Experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability
of various normal forms
- Broad experience in Enterprise Java-based systems
- Service oriented architecture/reusable component driven design
- Enterprise security patterns
Advanced experience in one or more of the following domains is a plus
- Service Oriented Architecture
- Reusable component driven design
- Enterprise security models
- Cloud & distributed computing
- Messaging, reliable messaging
- Enterprise service bus utilization
- Business to Business
- Data standards (XML, ANSI X12)
- System integration (EAI)
- Data and protocol transformation
- Workflow/Enterprise Content Management
- Documentum, xCP or equivalent
- Enterprise document management platforms
- Human-centric business process management
- Process analysis and automation
- Enterprise Rules
- iLog or equivalent
- Expert systems
- Rules definition and management
- User interface design and development
