Position: SAS Expert Programmer Number of Resources Needed: 2 Duration: 520 hours Rate: Provide Most Competitive All-Inclusive Rate Start Date: Immediate Primary skill set and experience required:. Expert SAS Coder with extensive experience with MACRO, DATASTEP, PROCS Expert problem solving skills related to performance troubleshooting and tuning - mainly the ability to go through existing code and suggest alternatives methods which with increase efficiency and performance. Ability to write programs from beginning to end in the most efficient ways ensuring superior run-time performance Ability to see out-of-the-box and utilize novel ideas/methodology to increase performance. Expert character variable parsing skills. Expert at bringing in non-standard data sources into SAS datasets, creating correct variables in order to merge/coalesce into existing data structure. Experienced in working with web logs, cookie data, tags, etc. Experience in creating new tags to be loaded, parsed and cross referenced to the old tags (which won't be one to one), deduped and use as input to existing routines to ensure reports still work and reflect the numbers resulting from the new set of tags.. Experienced using SAS on UNIX or mainframe Expert in dealing with large data volumes Experienced in working in QA environments, and developing detailed test plans and scripts Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting a plus.
