Job Title: Cognos Developer Location: Montvale,NJ Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract Minimum Requirements: Required Skills/Experience: We are looking for a Cognos Developer with significant experience using Cognos version 8.4.1 tools. It is extremely important that this developer have excellent communication skills, as interaction with end users and other IT colleagues will be frequent. This developer should have experience working with DB2 for z/OS and should be able to develop Framework Manager Models, Packages, reports using Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio and cubes using Cognos Transformer, where appropriate. He/She should be able to perform Cognos administration tasks when needed. He/She will take part in a conversion from Cognos v7.3 to v8.4.1, and in the future from v8.4.1 to v10 and must be able to perform the tasks required for this effort. Experience with Cognos running within the IBM zLinux / Websphere environment or Cognos on a distributed platform would be considered a big plus. This developer must be able to work in a team environment, where multiple developers contribute to the goals of the department, and work may be shared among any of these developers.
