*6+Month* *Phone then Skype* This role would be to be involved in several smaller projects/solutions within the portal environment. We are in search of a combo PM/Functional Business analyst to participate on a Portal team to help gather the Business Requirements for impact to the portal ecosystem. The individual will be helping the Business team and the Technology teams with capturing the requirements on changes Business sees are necessary for the development of new capabilities. As a project goes into the software development lifecycle, the BA is primarily accountable for answering questions on requirements and acts as the bridge for the business and technology. The Business Analyst applies knowledge and facilitative expertise to gather and define requirements, in order to achieve business objectives and provide innovative solutions to business problems. He/ She participates in the analysis and design efforts for complex projects and business processes; establishes a common understanding of the business environment in which a complex project or solution must be defined, designed, created, deployed, used, and supported. *Required Skills * · Provide expertise for one or more areas of the business through analysis and understanding of business needs. Apply an advanced knowledge of programs, policies, and procedures in a business area or technical field gained through extensive experience and training. · Represent their area externally in benchmarking and best practice efforts. Provide business expertise across projects to ensure a consistent resolution of common technology issues. · Use appropriate tools and techniques to elicit and define requirements that address the most complex business processes or projects of high complexity. · Analyze requirements and create or contribute to functional designs, leveraging advanced and/or specialized technical knowledge. May help design application prototypes. · Assist with ideation, project initiation or planning for projects of high complexity. · Follow change control process to manage changes to base lined deliverables and scope for projects of high complexity. · Lead, plan and consult on information gathering sessions.
