9to9 Software Solutions is looking for a Sr. Database Analyst for our client in *Waltham, MA* *Role1 : Sr. Database Analyst* *Location: Waltham, MA* *Duration: 6 Months * *Visa: GC, Citizen or EAD Needed* *Interview Mode: Phone followed by In-Person* *Requirements:* · This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field · Experience level - 6–8 years with at least 3-4 years in large data warehouse / data acquisition environments and customer focused role · Must have experience in ETL and Data Analytics. Experience in healthcare or health insurance industry is a definite plus · Preferred experience in the design of large data acquisition infrastructure and implementation · Experience with SQL code optimization · Experience with troubleshooting system issues in large data operations environments · Exposure to large data hosting Unix/Linux environments and proficiency with *nix system tools · Excellent technical problem solving skills · Strong time management skills, including the ability to work independently and balance daily operations and projects, are required · Willingness to adjust to flexible schedules as per project needs · Experience working in an on-shore/off-shore operating model · *Responsibilities:* · Creation and maintenance of scripts used for Healthcare data management, data validation, statistical report generation, and program validation · Develop tools and techniques for improving process efficiencies and query performance · Communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary operations and project team to complete assigned tasks on time and within budget · Program as per data transformation specifications to convert source data to loaded into target data warehouse tables using PL/SQL and other Data Integration/ETL tools. · Use Unix/Linux, SAS to analyze and format large data files. · Perform data analysis, data mining and investigations and identify root cause of issues with advanced SQL queries · Assist the Engineering/Tools team as technical SMEs in improving operations processes to achieve increased productivity · Assisting in the conversion of internal processes from manual to automated through coding and programming. · Review & test the data to ensure accuracy & validity of the data prior to uploading the data to the warehouse. · Work with Technical Operations to troubleshoot complex database issues related to the entire environment including OS, storage and servers o Provide off hours On-Call support to resolve production issues within the stated SLA o Effective verbal and written communication skills, high level of initiative, team member, and multitasking ability required o Provide trend and growth analysis to aid in capacity planning and resource management · Provide trend and growth analysis to aid in capacity planning and resource management *Role 2: Business Analysts -Electric generation Performance Optimization * *Location: Jackson, MI* *Duration: 8-9 month contract (Expected to go until end of June 2015)* *Interview Method: Phone then in-person or Skype* *Job Description : * · This role is specifically aimed to support the Electric Generation arm of our business.
