9to9 Software Solutions is looking for a *System Administrator/Network Admin* for our client in* Houston, TX.* *Title: System Administrator/Network Admin* *Location : Houston,TX **Duration : 9 months * *Visa: GC/Citizen/ GC EAD* *Skills Needed: System Administration, Cisco Networking technologies, Exposure to WireShark, OpNet/Riverbed * *The primary job responsibilities of a Systems/Network Administrator are to ensure the stable operation of servers and infrastructure environments, including network components such as routers, switches*, VOIP, WAN, LAN, WLAN. This position will focus on network analytics and look for ways to make improvements. The individual will work with members of both the network and systems administration/server teams to assist in projects and tasks as necessary. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* · Be able to take on several components of multiple projects or a complex project. · Work beyond routine tasks utilizing a specialized knowledge, skill, or technology. · Work from the Level 2 Service Desk queue to address problems, issues, and requests as needed. · Demonstrate a clear understanding of the server and networking environments. · Assist in the procurement, build, and load of new server equipment, including business continuity equipment housed at alternate locations, where appropriate. · Maintain server hardware and refresh the technology as appropriate. · Communicate critical events, issues or concerns to appropriate IT management in a proactive or timely manner. · Deploy, monitor, maintain, upgrade and support IT systems. · Adhere to the current Change Management, Security, and SOX controls, procedures and processes. · Learn new skills as needed in order to effectively implement emerging technologies and best practices. · Interface with the customer base as needed to establish business priorities and ensure user requirements are met in a timely manner. · Demonstrate clear understanding of TCP/IP and Cisco networking technologies. · Seek out opportunities utilizing performance monitoring tools to improve the efficiencies of Client's infrastructure. *REQUIRED SKILLS* · Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems administration or related field. · Demonstrated ability to apply technology in solving technical problems. · Strong customer service orientation. · Experience with Cisco networking technologies · Exposure to Network/Application optimization tools such as WireShark, OpNet/Riverbed · Supported users across a Wide Area Network. · Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to exchange ideas with internal and external parties. · Self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to detail. · Administrator for technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Terminal Services, Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS), Group Policy, WSUS, and IIS. · Logical Troubleshooting Skills – Should be a logical thinker and able to use the process of elimination to remedy issues, failures, and errors. *DESIRED SKILLS* · Proficiency in HP Blade Server technology · Understanding of SAN technology including storage provisioning and SAN fabric design and administration. · Linux experience *Best Regards, * * Ram* Sr Technical Recruiter | 9to9 Software Solutions LLC W:203-678-8000 Ext:205 | F: 855-929-SOFT [email protected]| http://www.9to9soft.com [image: logo] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Business_Intelligence" group.
