*Business Systems Analyst* *Location: Detroit, MI*
*Duration: 12-13 months* *Description:* Responsible for planning, developing, testing and implementing IT system solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity as well as support business strategies and goals. They identify and communicate business needs and translate business requirements into technical system and functional specifications. Systems Analysts determine if internal or external solutions exist or whether new solutions are feasible. They map process flows and must determine if these solutions impact existing work processes and systems as well as ensure proper integration, testing, and system/user documentation. They are also responsible for providing input surrounding buy vs. build decisions for possible IT system solutions. - Work on CDH Production Support activities - Daily review of data integration between client and vendors - Daily interaction with the business, marketing, and vendors to ensure CDH systems are operating according to expectations - Identify, analyze, and resolve small to complex issues - Use analytical skills while working on small to medium size projects - Define and document business and system requirements - Develop testing artifacts such as test cases, test data, and test status - Execute test cases, document results, and record defects in ClearQuest - Create and execute reports using Cognos Report Studio *Top Three Skills/Experience:* - Superior analytical skills (6 years minimum experience). - Expert in quickly identifying issue root cause and formulating a correction action plan (6 years minimum experience). - Experience supporting business partners, vendor partners, and other IT areas in a production application environment (6 years minimum experience). *Required Skills/Experience:* - At least 6 years experience as a Senior Systems Analyst / Consultant. - Ability to work on business and technical solutions. *Preferred Skills/Experience:* - Developing and supporting solutions in the NASCO NPS environment, with a focus on consumer driven health processing. - Health care experience. - System integration and user acceptance testing - Working knowledge of IBM Cognos Connection - Working knowledge of IBM 3270 TSO environment - Working knowledge of mainframe JCL, NDM and FTP *Educational Requirements:* - Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. *Conference Call Notes:* Manager is looking for supper strong analyst like for level 3. Need more stable, not a developer or architect. Can handle typical or most complex requirement. Integrate with vendors, they have 8 vendors. Someone who can come up with resolutions and may do or get done by team, should involved in follow up if it's done right. Demonstration ability Strong in thought process to solve or analyze the problem and ask the right questions to get the right requirement.
