*Job Title* .Net Developer *Project Location* Pasadena, CA *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* MOI: Telephonic + Face To Face Under direction of the Manager of FR&C Development, the Sr. Software Engineer participates in the detailed design, construction, implementation, and support of robust User Interface based solutions that meet established specifications, design criteria, quality standards and business requirements with minimum supervision. Provide web services and back-end support for Web applications, including database connectivity and interaction, other internal services, and third party APIs. Responsibilities: • Design, create and implement effective web services and middleware to support front end applications and to provide connectivity to GDC service layer, database and 3rd party APIs • Analyze, code, test, debug, and support financial, risk, and compliance related programs and applications • Design and implement supporting service and database layer solutions using C#, .NET, SQL that integrate with internal and external customer facing front-end applications • Analyze and define system requirements for web services to meet business requirements • Provide technical expertise to business areas in understanding the application and service layer architecture • Contribute to matrix teams designing and developing finance, risk, and online applications, modules, or enhancements • Leverage knowledge of current software development methodologies to contribute to the overall planning of projects by recommending approaches, identifying resources, and developing timelines • Prepare and maintain complete programming specifications, functional designs, and both high and detail level technical design documents • Participate in the optimal construction, integration, and system testing of Green Dots application framework • Work with architects / QA / BSA to establish unit test criteria • Validate constructed code against unit test criteria • Conduct code reviews and security reviews of code • Prepare and maintain complete programming specifications, functional design, and technical design documents • Support testing, debugging and resolution of issues • Participate in and assist with tuning, redundancy, resiliency, planning, testing, refactoring, optimizing call flows • Review and analyze application environment to make recommendations for improvements and/or upgrades • Perform troubleshooting and analysis to assess root cause of application issues • While in QA phase, makes corrections to code, and updates design docs to reflect changes • Participate in the development of established code guidelines and best practices. • Assess technology risk, potential severity, probability and strategy • Maintain a high degree of business functional knowledge • Maintains a high degree of knowledge on current technologies and tools • Adhere to all policies and procedures concerning confidential information including but not limited to internal use and restricted information, including Protected Consumer Information (PCI) • Provide regular status reports to Manager of FR&C Development. Skills/Experience: Minimum of 5 years solid computer software programming experience.
