*Job Title: Senior Security Engineer*

*Job Purpose*:
As Senior Security Engineer the successful candidate will be a key member
of the Information Security Engineering team. This is a hands-on position
- candidates should be ready to design, build, and maintain secure systems.
They should also be comfortable in the role of an internal security
consultant, communicating thoughtfully with the rest of the team about
security design concerns and trade-offs. The position will include a mix of
high-level security design, day-to-day operational security tasks, and
building and maintaining security infrastructure.
*Academic Qualifications (Essential)*:
Ideal candidates should possess related technical degree (e.g.,
*Telecommunications*, *Computer Science*, Engineering, Mathematics,
Physics, Computer Forensics, *Cyber Security*, IT, or Information Systems,
Networking and Telecommunications, other degrees may be considered if with
relevant experience)
*Professional Qualifications (Desired*):
GIAC, CISA, CISSP, CNNA, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, ITIL v3 Foundation
*Experience (Essential*):
5+ years
*Examples of Previous Titles that may make candidate a fit*:
Security Administrator, Security Engineer, Security Architect, Security
Manager, Security Officer, Cyber Engineer, Security Risk Engineer, Threat
Analyst, Security Operations Engineer, IT Security Specialist.
*Key Knowledge and Skills*:
- Be a subject matter expert of *Check Point* technologies like SPLAT,
GAIA, R65/7x, VSX, and Provider-1 *(Essential)*
- Experience with securing cloud environments (and applications) like
Amazon EC2, Rackspace, Microsoft Azure, and VMware vCloud Air
*(Essential)*
- Should understand network and host based security concepts and their
practical application within Data Center, Campus/WAN, DMZ,
Public/Private/Hybrid cloud environments.* (Essential)*
- Be experienced with Web Application Firewalls (from vendors like
Imperva, and F5) and more importantly how to leverage Web Application
Firewalls to mitigate against web application vulnerabilities (detailed in
OWASP Top 10) *(Desirable)*
· Have experience with Tufin, AlgoSec, Skybox or other Firewall
GRC tools *(Desirable)*
· Be capable of supporting Web Content filtering technologies
like Bluecoat, Cisco WSA/Ironport, Cisco ScanSafe, & Zscaler
*(Desirable)*
· Be capable of supporting and managing Intrusion
Detection/Prevention tools like Snort, and SourceFire *(Desirable)*

· Be able to work as a part of a global team
· Be an effective communicator, consultative in nature,

· Be able to operate under limited guidance – knowing what needs
