Qualifications:
At least a Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of proven manual software
testing experience in a functional QA team
Strong DB, SQL, file parsing/loading/transformation scripting skills are a
must for this position. Any candidate lacking evidence of such skills will
not be considered.
3+ years with SQL/PL-SQL and expertise in writing complex SQL Queries.
Proficient in file parsing and scripting techniques/languages/tools (any
language or tools to achieve this).
Ability to Optimizing/Tune complex SQL queries or file processing scripts
for better performance and efficiency due to large data sets and short
testing windows.
Ability to properly define the Test Bed for several backend jobs building
on sample data and proper analysis of existing prod data or specs analysis.
Ability to act fast and independently in a fast paced environment with
multiple and tight deadlines.
Expertise in QA Testing in Unix/Windows Environment and Oracle/SQL server
databases.
Expertise in extended validation of report functionality developed, using
Cognos, Business Objects, by writing complex SQLs at the backend.
Extensive experience in ETL process consisting of data transformation,
sourcing, mapping, conversion and loading.
Well versed with Manual and Automated Testing methodologies and principles.
