If you have a matching profile, please send me the updated resume along with contact details at the earliest Job Title * Sr. AIX Administrator* Location * IL-Illinois/Chicago* Duration 6 *Months / contract* MOI-Phone+Face2Face A Senior AIX Administrator who has 7+ years of experience with AIX 6.1 and higher. The individual will be required to maintain IBM Power servers on P750 and P870 hardware, comprising 50+ physical/virtual AIX servers. The position requires the performance of patching/upgrades, troubleshoot performance problems, and understanding PCI standards/security hardening within the OS. This position will also provide support for additional Unix OS related matters, deploy rollouts for the production applications, recommend areas of improvement, create/lead projects, have excellent communications skills and be self-motivated within the enterprise environment. Extensive knowledge of performance tuning, VIO, lpars, storage provisioning, and network configuration is required. It is a plus if there is also knowledge of Tivoli TSM backup, Linux, and VMware.
