ILM involves the practices and tools that align the business value of information with the most appropriate infrastructure from the time information is conceived through its final disposition.* *Tasks and responsibilities* - Utilize storage reporting and file analysis tools to identify opportunities to purge and reclaim storage back for enterprise use - Track and meanings, context, and types of data that should be included and excluded in the Master Data Management governance - Provide specific list of actions to owners of data that can be deleted or moved to archive - Evaluate client needs for analyses; help define business questions; identify data needs. - Communicate and collaborate with technical and business owners of to reclaim storage back to the enterprise - Create and coordinate reports from ILM tool to create a baseline and trend against project target goals - Help implement data governance and quality measures. *Skills, Qualifications, and Certifications (not all are required)* - Experience in supporting the design and specification of data presentation and knowledge of reporting, analytics, and trending. - Experience with command line interfaces on Windows & Linux/Unix - Business/systems analyst experience required.
