Healthcare EDI Analyst position Duration : 6-month Contract
Location : Houston, TX or Lake St. Louis, MO. *Must be US Citizen, Green Card or * *Must have strong Healthcare EDI data mapping experience and SQL.* *Healthcare EDI Analyst* *POSITION SUMMARY:* The EDI - Data Management Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining EDI technical standards, identifying EDI solutions to business needs and overall process improvement. Processing and creation of EDI files is critical to processes. This position is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the HIPAA 837 (claims), 835 (remittances), 276/277 (claims status inquiry and response), 278 (referral/prior authorization) EDI transactions and any other EDI transactions. This position will have responsibility for planning, implementing and managing HIPAA EDI projects relating to these transactions, including end-user contact, analysis, design, mapping, programming, training and documentation. Strong SQL and programming skills are required. Additional responsibilities of the EDI-Data Management Analyst II include the following: *PERFORMANCE MEASURES MAJOR JOB OBJECTIVES* - Process definition for EDI processing - Creating mapping for import and processing of Proprietary and ANSI electronic data files - Utilize Actian Data Connect, EDIFECS XEngine, or equivalent software for file processing - Establish process improvement including auto notifications - Develop a complete and comprehensive project plan - Manage client expectations - Root cause analysis - Development of timely and innovative solutions, with optimal use of technology and human resources - Query databases in response to business inquiries - Conducting system & integration testing - Assist with material utilized for training purposes - Respond, address and resolve IssueTrak tickets in a detailed and professional manner - Manage multiple tickets and combine efforts when necessary - Adhere to Corporate Policies *OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:* - Analysis of existing business systems and processes for process improvement - Implementation of new business processes - Business systems software requirement specification - Business systems testing, documentation, training and education - Business systems audit - Demonstrate effective problem solving skills and maintain good attendance. May be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays as needed. - Demonstrate the ability to translate complex information into a logical, concise presentation - Strong attention to detail.
