* Position  : Linux System AdminLocation : NYCDuration : 6-12+Months*



*Face To Face Interview Responsibilities:*Maintenance of all servers and
infrastructure systems.
Responsible for some or all of the following technical areas:
System upgrades and procurement
Infrastructure design and layout
Disaster Recovery design and implementation OS installation and maintenance
of system tools and applications Support LDAP service Support Development
and Operations teams Security and Server hardening; user
administration Work with 3rd parties (hosting) to request support and
resolve items.
Administer backup routines and recoveries.
Create documentation in form of internal wiki.
Respond to technical inquiries
System performance tuning.
Troubleshoot any reported problems.
Document the configuration of the system and all changes.

*Qualifications:*
Most importantly, excellent problem skills - especially while working under
pressure.
Must know how to independently troubleshoot, triage and identify root
causes.
Good English oral and written communication skills Minimum certification on
Linux, RHEL, VMWare products desired but not required.
Must have 3+ years hands-on experience with RHEL and VMware vSphere.
2 to 5 years working in a server/system administration environment in a
medium-large enterprise Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and
other protocols
2 to 5 years networking experience desired but not required Experience with
setup and configuration of Apache, SSL certificate configuration, proxies,
and NAT.
