*Job Title: Backup & Storage Administrator with TSM Exp *
*Duration: 6 Months *
*# of Positions: 1 *
*Position Type: Contract  *
*Location: Richardson US*

*Job Description*

   - Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited
   institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in
   the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
   - At least 10+ years of experience with IT Infrastructure Skills


*Skills Required: Backup Admin*

   - 7+ years of Experience in Managing the TSM backup Environment
   - Should have Good OS knowledge along with VMware and networking
   - Experience in Backup failure Troubleshooting and configuration
   - Should have knowledge in managing the Quantum i500/IBM tape library,
   disaster recovery and managing the vaulting process.
   - Having good hands on the SAN storage would be added advantage
   - Should have knowledge of backup & restore, building a master, media
   server, policies
   - Should have knowledge on NAS backup, disk backup etc.
   - Hands-on on Oracle, DB2, Exchange & VM TDP agents.
   - Tape Library (Storagetek, IBM TS3200 & TS3300)
   - Strong troubleshoot knowledge in TSM (backup server and client side)
   - Should have Hands on experience in Managing SAN and Storage Arrays(IBM
   XIV/V7000/EMCVMAX/HDS Having good hands on the SAN storage would be added
   advantage.
   - Strong knowledge in LAN/SAN backup concept
   - Proficient on TSM Client setup and different restore methodology
   - Scripting.
   - DR testing.

*Backup Admin Responsibilities:*

   1. Configuring Master and media server, new client’s configuration,
   policies, OS backup, oracle backups, VMware backups etc.
   2. Managing and monitoring the day to day Backup jobs
   3. Troubleshooting backup job failures and coordinating with vendor to
   resolve the issue within specified SLA’s.
   4. Performing the restores
   5. Implementing new features within the client environment
   6. Backup performance management to complete the job within the
   specified backup window.
   7. Closely monitoring the vaulting process
   8. Provide high attention to backup failure for production servers and
   critical servers.
   9. Need to coordinate with wintel, UNIX tracks to perform any disaster
   recovery and reproducing the issues to the test environment.
   10. Daily/weekly/monthly backup reporting using scripting or available
   tools.
   11. 24x7 support for all major / critical incidents
   12. Work assigned from time to time by the Cluster Lead.
