Experience will typically include significant involvement with one or more of the following key technologies: Cloud – AWS EC2, IAM, Cloud Formation, creating RESTful Micro services, Java, J2EE, or equivalent combination of education and experience. *Additional Desirable Skills:* • Demonstrated experience will typically include significant involvement with one or more of the following key technologies and tools: Java and J2EE related technologies (JVM, JMS, and Servlets etc.), Scheduling systems such as Talend, Hadoop/MapReduce, Linux, Scripting (Python, PERL, Ruby, Shell, etc...), automated configuration management (Ansible) and exposure to build systems such Jenkins, GIT, Maven, Sonar, & Archiva, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Passionate about Continuous Delivery. • Cloud PaaS – AWS ElasticBeanstalk, Heroku or Cloud Foundry, NoSQL – Cassandra, AWS DynamoDB, MongoDB, Docker, Netflix OSS stack experience, JVM web framework – Grails, Play, Spring MVC, etc. • Cloud Operation experience – running real workloads in the cloud and diagnosing and fixing problems • Cloud architecture – loosely coupled systems, fault-tolerance, HA, scalability • Communicates clearly in a timely manner in both verbal and written communication with other Software Development Engineers. • Able to plan and manage his/her own work, as well as 1-2 other team members. • Able to lead multi-discipline teams for work efforts which includes estimating, coordinating, tracking progress, inspiring others to complete tasks on time, assisting with resolving issues and provide status. • Technically proficient in core technologies and methodologies used by the team. • Able to adapt to changing technologies and methodologies and apply them to technological and/or business needs of limited scope. • Able to work well with business customers and engineering and technical partners. • Able to take direction from others in analyzing and solving program and system issues and problems. • Able to analyze, diagnose and resolve light to medium complex programming problems and system coordination issues. • Able to analyze, diagnose and resolve complex programming problems and system coordination issues. • Able to work with minimum direction. • Able to plan and manage his/her own work. • Communicate effectively with peers. • Follow corporate and department coding standards and guidelines. • Able to take and/or provide direction from others in analyzing and solving program and system issues and problems. • Able to provide technical direction and solutions to other team members. • Able to mentor and coach other junior team members in technical matters.
