*Job Title : Big Data / Spark DeveloperLocation : Phoenix, AZDuration : 6-12+Months Contract Looking for Green Card Holders and US Citizens* Interview will consist of telephone – Skype (if needed) – then in-person. Our client should be able to pick up the cost of a flight to come out and interview, but we will cross that bridge when we get there. *Your education and experience:* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field, from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant industry certification, such as Oracle Java Developer, is preferred. A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in software development, information systems, or equivalent technical environment, including previous experience in the development of highly transactional, mission critical applications in heterogeneous environments/architectures for multi-user systems. Important: The person selected for this role will work both development and deployment. *You are awesome at (Required Skills) :* Expert level proficiency with the following technologies: Java (5+ years). Versions 1.6 and beyond are a good start! Spring, Hibernate or similar MVC framework. Unix/Linux and one of the many shells XML, XSLT, DTD or Schema modeling, DOM/XPath/SAX parsing, JAXB. Service oriented designs and technologies (AJAX, XML/JSON) Web service protocols, such as SOAP or REST. SQL Python Source control. Subversion and/or GIT. Spark, Cloudera, Hadoop, Kafka, Hive AWS (S3, SQS, SNS, EC2) Cassandra and MongoDB Excellent knowledge of all aspects of the software development lifecycle: design, functional and technical requirements, coding, debugging, testing, release, and operational support. Excellent knowledge of agile software development methodologies, Service Oriented Architecture and object-oriented programming methodologies. Excellent knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Excellent knowledge of relational database management system technologies and tools. Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and demeanor. Proficient in the use of MS Office suite including Visio. *You are good at (Desired):* Added value proficiencies in the following technologies: HTML, CSS and JavaScript (jQuery), AngularJS a plus. Familiar with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Sonar, Stash.
