Requirements -Advanced knowledge of Adobe products like Photoshop, Illustrator, etc -Front end coding knowledge (HTML, CSS & JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery & Ajax) -Advanced Knowledge of Bootstrap framework -High level of competency using WordPress, including use of themes, plugins, shortcodes, etc. -Proficiency with Drupal 7 and above architecture and back-end technology -Back End Coding (PHP, HTML5, CSS2/3, XML, JSON) -Ability to create site thems from designs. -Project Management – Scrum, or Agile development -Responsive Design -Additional Desired Qualifications *POSITION 2* -Web Designer/Drupal Front-End Developer *-University of California, Santa Barbara, CA* -Full-time, Contract -Reporting to UCEAP's Senior/Lead Developer, the Web Designer/Drupal Front-End Developer will support UCEAP's mission through design, development and delivery of cutting edge web experiences for users. Responsible for full stack development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, PHP, MYSQL, XML/JSON, and Responsive Design, to help in the design, development and delivery of web experiences for UCEAP, including mobile platforms. Participates in all phases of web application development life cycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, system design and development, testing and implementation. *Minimum Requirements::* -Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design or related field and 5 years of experience implementing websites in Drupal, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. -Three or more years of experience in UX Design, with deep expertise in designing for large, complex websites. -Proficiency working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, PHP, MYSQL, XML/JSON, LAMP environment and Responsive Design. -Familiarity with full stack development. -Working knowledge of CSS precompilers (Sass, Less). -Experience with all phases of web application development life cycle, including requirements gathering and analysis, system design and development, testing and implementation. -Experience designing mobile-friendly, responsive websites and user interfaces that are cross-platform, cross-browser, and/or cross-device compatible. -Proficiency with PHP for templating, theme pre-processing functions. -Experience defining base themes and building sub-themes from them. -Experience converting layered design mockups into Drupal themes. -Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap. -Experience measuring and optimizing front-end performance. -Experience in integrating with analytics tools (Piwik/Google Analytics).
