AUTO TESTING , SELENIUM AND APPIUM…………………. The Mobile Client QA team is looking for a technical QA engineer to work on the next generation of innovative personal cloud applications. This role is focused on building and maintaining automated tests using appium for both Android and iOS client platforms. This position requires a self-motivated and dynamic individual with strong technical and communication skills who can contribute in a team environment. Our team practices agile, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering and QA. The ideal candidate enjoys working to identify difficult problems, triaging their source and scope, and communicating closely across engineering teams to drive resolution. This individual wants to make great software and cares about getting the little details right. The candidate is expected have the ability to design, create, and run manual and automated tests and test plans. Cross-functional collaboration with development, client and server teams and an ability to thrive under pressure are required to succeed in this role. Responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain automated regression tests using appium framework. Update test scripts based on changes/upgrades to the applications/software. Execute/analyze test cases and document software defects. Coordinate and communicate with developers on bug fixes and required modifications. Develop test strategies/plans for software solution under test. Identify and document test cases from requirements. Prioritize test cases based on risk and frequency of usage. Assist in project requirements analysis. *ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES: * Minimum 5+ years software test experience In-depth practical experience with test automation scripting e.g. Java, Python, Ruby, etc Experience with Appium or Robotium Mobile Client Automation (or alternatively Selenium Webdriver). Excellent communication and reporting skills. Knowledge of Agile development methodology. Experience with Mobile Client tools for taking logs and crash reports(e.g adb, DDMS, iTunes, Iphone Config Utility etc) *DESIRED SKILLS: * Experience in performance and benchmark testing of Mobile Applications. Experience setting up CI frameworks e.g Jenkins/Bamboo Experience with Confluence, JIRA, Git, Eclipse or IntelliJ.
