*NETEZZA Developer- Boston MA* *Phone + Skype* *Start date 03/20* Essential job functions - Design, develop and deliver, and implement database architectures/solutions specifically incorporating the Netezza framework. - Perform architecture design, prototyping of concepts of proof concept, development of standards, design and development of code and module design, development of testing, data solution debugging, design and implementation of a data solution. - Convert design and user specification into database solutions. Ensure quality, functionality, reliability and usability of Netezza database solutions. - Develop database architectural strategies. - Analyze business requirements/needs and design more efficient database solutions, tables, code and procedures to improve system performance. - Work closely with development, QA, architects, Business Analysts and other IT people. - Participate within the DBA team to troubleshoot any issues on the Netezza appliance. Perform data analysis as required to scope projects, find bugs, and offer inferences into product for the uses. - Perform Data migration from SQL Server to Netezza. - Plans, coordinates and implements database change migration. - Design best practices and efficient techniques to transfer data from various RDBMS database to Netezza. - Design logical and physical data models written in Netezza SQL and SQL Server procedures. - Work both data modeler and DBA to implement physical model on an ongoing basis. - Build and support required Netezza database development and test environments.
