Requirement Details : ROLE : Solaris / Linux Admin Location : Atlanta GA Duration : 6 Months Mandatory skills: Understanding of datacom networks (switches/routers/firewalls/load balancers/proxies/IP addresses/how nodes connect and speak via TCP/IP) and the basics of configuring an IP address and routing. Knowledge of Linux or Unix (file management/understanding of the Unix or Linux file system/VI editor/accessing remote systems/SSH/SFTP/telnet). Admin level experience with Solaris/Linux Expert on Solaris/Linux system installation Oracle DB experience Must familiar with Protocols: SMTP/SMPP/XML/HTTP/SOAP/TCP/IP -computer savvy; able to find and use applications needed for a certain task. Proactive and showing initiative. -able to understand requirements and translate those in test cases. Able to work equally well both individually and in a team. Good documentation skills. Able to write test case documents, reports, methods of procedure (MoPs), test descriptions and more. Writes clearly and concisely in proper English. Good personal skills. If necessary, able to speak to customers and deal with difficult situations. Able to find his/her way in a large organization and deal with multiple departments involved in our services' lifecycles. Methodical and analytical in troubleshooting problems. Able to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Able to deal with stress and tight deadlines. No 9-to-5 mentality as there will be occasional overtime or maintenance window work. Requires little guidance. Previous integration or testing experience. High-level understanding of lifecycle management. How is a service or solution conceptualized, developed and ultimately tested, handed over and taken into production. Optional competences prefer candidates with these items included in the profile: -shell scripting. Has worked with and understands Wireshark or another TCP/IP protocol analyzer. Some knowledge of java.
