*Role: Sr. Project Manager* *Location:Washington DC* *Duration:4-5 months with possibility of an extension* *Need a senior project manager who has experience with Hyperion planning and Essbase or Data Mart * * * *Job Description:* * * *POSITION DESCRIPTION* : Manage special projects that drive process and automation improvements in budgeting, planning and associated reporting of Fannie Mae’s Administrative Expenses. This encompasses managing the full lifecycle from planning, requirements, risk mitigation, as well as, managing business aspects of systems work such as UAT and training. Direct the day-to-day activities of special projects from idea through implementation. Projects range from automating manual processes, improving current budget/forecast scenario modeling, and implementing a central data mart for reporting and analytics. Manage all aspects of process reengineering including documenting current state process definition and defining to-be processes. Manage all aspects of reporting progress to management including conducting regular status meetings, preparing dashboards and issues list and mitigating risks. Lead a cross-functional team of FTEs from Financial Planning, Business Units and IT group. Manage and prioritize system enhancements and related work including requirements definition, and user acceptance test. *PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS* : *BS in Finance or Business; CPA or MBA is a plus. 5-7 years of progressively challenging experience in accounting/finance related position; experience in a financial institution desired.* Must have strong project management skills, excellent communication skills and experience with requirements writing and performing user acceptance testing. Experience with creating to-be state process flows using Visio. Must have a demonstrated ability to direct a team.
