*MUST have ATM experience, since the client NCR is a manufacturer &
installer of ATMs.*

1. Key Areas of Responsibility Design, Development and Integration
i. Convert requirements to
functional requirements to develop software code that is accessible, usable,
efficient, re-usable, cost effective, maintainable
1. Conducting unit tests, tracking problems, and implementing changes to
ensure adherence to test plan and functional requirements
i. Diagnosing, isolating, and
implementing remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code,
using knowledge of system characteristics and utilizing software based
system maintenance and tracking tools.
1. Perform functional analysis of requirements to determine estimates of
resources (people and equipment), size of the software products, efforts,
schedules and critical computer resources. Establish acceptance criteria
and quality goals Provides estimates, goals, standards, constraints and
dependencies as input to the SOW and the software development
plan Support
QA in the end-to-end testing process for software
1. *Basic Requirements* :
i. Bachelor or equivalent
accreditation in computer sciences, information systems or software
engineering
ii. *Minimum 4-8
years*programming experience in developing client applications,
identifying
software problems and debugging
iii. Ideally experience with C++
and C#
iv. Experience in VB or VB.NET is
useful
v. Client application
development experience as opposed to database application development
experience is desired
vi. Technical project leadership
experience organizing project resources
vii. Experience working with
Microsoft operating system technology
1. Specifically Windows 2000 or Windows XP Pro including one or several
off the following:
a. installing and supporting hardware devices and drivers; configuring
and troubleshooting network protocols and services
b. including TCP/IP, Internet Information Services, and remote access;
managing security
c. Group Policy, Encrypting File System (EFS), NTFS permissions.
viii. Experience developing with
Microsofts .NET Framework
ix. Experience working with
Microsoft Visual Studio development tools
x. Event-based programming
understanding and knowledge
xi. Experience building and
supporting 7x24 resilient or mission critical systems
xii. Experience creating and
leading group presentations, hosting web seminars and public speaking
Preferred Requirements
xiii. Experience working in the ATM
or kiosk self-service industry
xiv. Financial institution or
network switch ATM operational experience
xv. Knowledge and experience
working with the CEN XFS ATM software specification
xvi. Knowledge and experience
working with NDC and 912 message formats
xvii. Experience working with
proprietary message formats
xviii. Experience building or
integrating WebServices applications (WebSphere or IIS)
xix. Experience working with any
source control package, including MKS-Source Integrity Enterprise, Working
knowledge of Software Product Lines
