Industry: Healthcare Location : Washington DC or Reston VA Start Date : ASAP Contract duration : 2 to 3 months *Overview:* Individual must have 7 – 10 years experience in the Health Care Industry which includes Medicaid, Managed Care Operations, Government Contracting. This person will be working with the Health IT Data Analysis department and all other business units. Must have knowledge of Health Care IT applications and processes; i.e. claims, provider, utilization management and member services. 1. Must excellent analytical, data management, planning, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills 2. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently within a team environment. 3. Creative problem solving skills with attention to detail 4. Strong multi-tasking skills. 5. Strong relationship/client management skills 6. Ability to coordinate amongst key stakeholders 7. Must have experience in gathering and analyzing user requirements, and the development of functional and operational improvements to business applications 8. Knowledge and ability to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs 9. Solid skills; MS Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook), Visio *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * • Analyze health care data and assist in the development of strategies to improve quality, utilization and costs. • Develop methodologies to conduct statistical analysis, ongoing program evaluations and cost containment studies. • Interface with programmers and developers to identify, establish and implement reporting tools for health care performance measurement. • Develop results and recommendations to team via presentations and written reports. • Facilitate and coordinate JAD sessions • Participate in ongoing data validation to ensure data integrity and reliability. • Maintain a solid understanding of requirements determination, data organizational structures, testing approaches, report design and development, relevant health care issues and industry initiatives.
