Hi, Role: Java Web / UI Developer
Location: San Francisco, CA Term: 12 Months GID has an opening for a Lead Software Developer to help us design, prototype, develop and test user interface (UI) functionality for new and existing web applications. Essential Functions: • Work with design and business stakeholders in gathering requirements for new features or feature enhancements - a.k.a. ask the right questions to ensure that requirements are clear and system capabilities/limitations are known • Coordinate with fellow developers, architects and QA automation engineers during technical design and prototyping • Provide technical expertise and thought-leadership with respect to front-end technologies – Javascript, CSS, XHTML, DHTML, cross-browser strategies, user-accessibility standards (e.g., §508) • Develop front-end application code for both consumer ecommerce web sites and internal-user content management tools (within J2EE web application environment) • Perform unit and cross-browser testing and provide guidance/support during QA testing • Support (2nd level) and troubleshoot problems with existing applications Qualifications: • At least 5-8 years of web application development experience • Fluency with front-end technologies – Javascript, CSS, XHTML, HTML, XML/DOM • Advanced experience developing Object Oriented JavaScript; using JSON and/or Java-style data structures and design patterns to create dynamic and stable routines and DOM objects • Familiarity with AJAX-related libraries – e.g. Prototype, Dojo, DWR, GWT, script.aculo.us, moo.fx, etc. • Experience with servlets, JSP, Struts/Tiles or other Java-based UI framework. • Experience with relational databases and data access (JDBC/DAO/SQL) • Experience developing and testing cross-browser/-platform web sites • Experience with version control systems like Subversion and IDEs like Eclipse • Experience with Agile software development and be able to explain the difference as compared to Waterfall development methods • Excellent problem solving skills; meticulous & methodical • Self-motivated team player with excellent time management and communication skills Thanking you, Mamatha 630 364 1907 [email protected]--
