Sr. Java Developer openings Communication skills are very very important! Java, Spring, Hibernate, JSP, Web based software development, SQL Server Dallas based client is looking for a java Engineer. This is a contract position. Qualified candidate must have the following: Experience: 6-10 years · Java experience to include: · Spring · Hibernate · JSP · Web based software development – as opposed to thick client/Swing/AWT development Proficiency in MS SQL Server –this is a java position, but the engineer will be interfacing with MS SQL Server and will need to write some SQL and HQL (hibernate query language)… also experience in MySQL or other Db also helpful · Tomcat Application Server · Proficiency in JavaScript/HTML/CSS · Team contributor – no ‘lone rangers’. Someone who wants to be a leader. · CVS/Subversion or some source control system · Other items viewed positively: · Knowledge of TCP/IP networking · Java Script and DHTML · cross browser compatibility * Struts/AJAX Struts and AJAX is not required, but nice to have. We will not be using Struts directly. That is, we won’t be creating new code that uses it, although portions of the existing code base do rely on it and we may ask these guys to work on bugs in the existing code if we get caught up. We do use AJAX, but not too much for the new projects. Big pluses for Hibernate and Spring as we will definitely be using these technologies. Hope this helps. They uses Flex for their browser, PureMVC for their framework, which feeds in to Blaze DS which is their back end layer for Flex and it also communicates to Java. Java sits on Spring and Struts, and uses Hibernate to communicate to their database.
