This highly transactional company needs a Sr. Developer to come in and help define an architectural road map and work with multiple internal and external organizations. It will also include taking the helm in a heavily Agile focused environment with monthly production releases. Along with a strong internal support group (Approx 20-25 people - mostly developers) the incumbent will work with the eCommerce Director and other functional architects while guiding and mentoring the team on system functionality, participating in a complete re-write of an existing system, working with a brand new services tier, existing business logic services, datacenters operations and more. This is a roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty role. You will be the go to person for technical development issues. You will oversee the work of the other developers and work closely with the Development Leads, Solutions Architect and Director to ensure that the group's goals and schedule are being met. The ideal candidate will have: * Significant hands on experience in the Services Layer. * A strong technical background in services integration, governance and SOA concepts, queuing and complex integrations. * Experience with Enterprise Service Bus systems (i.e. Tibco, Datapower, open source ESB, etc...) * Experience writing services from scratch (not solely dependent on ESB) * Hands on comprehensive experience with JAVA, PHP, JavaScript, AJAX and Billing Systems. * Experience working in a large eCommerce Web site environment (i.e. you had a significant role in defining/implementing complex functionality) * Web Services/SOA/ESB experience in a complex situation. * Technologies include Java, MuleSoft /MuleSource ESB, etc. * Experience working in an open source environment preferred. * Telecommunications industry experience would be highly beneficial. Additionally, you will be able to mentor and lead other developers, QA, and Project Managers, so you will need to be quick on your feet technically and tactfully.
