Position: J2EE Architect
Location: Warren, NJ
Length: 6 months w/ extension
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: $60 all inclusive
Role Description:
Design and develop Rich Internet Application (RIA) to allow business users
to make modifications to Transaction Data (Contracts) during a daily and
month-end processing cycle. The J2EE Architect will be charged with
gathering & analyzing business and functional requirements, and translate
requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable
solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. Will also
lead a team of Senior and mid-level Software Engineers
Experience:
1. Must have 5- 8 years of experience in Leading & architecting
software (OOAD, OOP) { Financial Services Exp - huge Plus}
o 5+ years Hands-on design, architecture and implementation
experience with J2EE and related platform technologies (JMS, JMX, Spring,
Hibernate)
* Write design specifications, programming specifications, and
documentation
* Develop systems and APIs for interfacing with open and proprietary
network services and complex business logic/algorithms
* Provide technical leadership for a team of developers implementing
the solution
* Be an active participant in an Agile/SCRUM environment
o Architecture Stack includes :
* Primary Language - Java & Java Flex, Apache POI
* JEE Application Container - Weblogic
* Data Access - Hibernate
* Framework - Spring
* Business Intelligence Reporting Tool - Cognos
* ETL and Business Rule Management - Ab Initio
* RDBMS - Oracle
o Web Services architectures
2. Experience in all aspects of the development of dynamic and
distributed Web based applications, including gathering requirements and
feedback from internal customers, providing creative direction, and defining
and implementing advanced technical solutions.
3. Mentor junior team members
4. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the
organization.
5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and
effective communicator
6. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of
this project
