Duration: 6 month plus ext *Here is the job description:* This development area in our client organization has historically not done much performance testing on the application development side. Therefore, they are looking for someone with good performance engineering skills with a focus in databases to help improve, optimize, and suggest development performance things. This team would iterate through solutions before taking them back to the development team…basically figure out how to crack open the hood, make things run faster….. *TECHNOLOGIES:* • All server side services are written in Java • Java/Tomcat/Spring/Hibernate/Tibco/XML and JAXB/Oracle/Nielsen Proprietary DB layer. • This person should understand how to performance tune oracle queries • Must understand Oracle and SQL performance tuning (database performance tuning) • This person should be able to optimize Java code and understand how distributed systems using JMS, XML/HTTP, Remote Objects can be optimized • This person should be capable of actually doing the work – we do not need nor want a paper architect.
