Technical:
- Solid understanding of Oracle 10/11g RAC from a Development
perspective
- Solid understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Mart concepts with
proven experience in both.
- Expertise in SQL and PL SQL
- Strong Oracle performance tuning experience preferably in the data
warehouse space
- Strong Data modeling background with emphasis on Physical modeling
- Star schema
- physical architecture (partitioning, cluster)
- working with large databases - multi terabytes (3+ Terabytes)
- Unix skills
- Data Modeling skills using standard tools: ER/Studio, ERWin,
Enterprise Architect
- Interpretation and understanding of functional specifications
- Writing technical design documents, adhering to firm standards
- Experience with source code control tools such as Perforce or
ClearCase
Other Skills:
- Knowledge of financial products
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong inter-personal skills and ability to communicate
effectively with the team
- Ability to work in a global team environment
- Hard working and results oriented
Additional Skills:
- Any BI (Business Intelligence) / OLAP exp is a plus
- Java is a plus
- MQ / Tibco EMS messaging experience is a plus
