********IMMEDIATE NEED *********** *Build Engineer * Location: Redmond, WA Rate: 36/hr C2C Duration: 1 year + *Title: Builder* *What you will be responsible for:* The assignment is operations-focused. Perform integrations, make sure the builds are running, investigate breaks and assign bugs, follow up on fixes for these breaks, troubleshoot internal process/automation issues, perform lab maintenance duties, configure build environments, etc. Extra project tasks may come up. This team is looking for a candidate to come in and quickly ramp up on the current automated processes in place. Works with development teams to build all components of a software product, including maintaining batch files and tools, to keep up with changes in the product. Sets up initial build trees, performs, debugs and fixes builds, and promotes official drops including those for Expresso and helping with build issues. May also be responsible for managing the SQL Server build process for Prefix builds as well as functioning as a hot-fix engineer. Works closely with the members of the build team and proactively identifies and implements procedures to parallelize and streamline the build process. May assist with maintenance of build automation tools. May be responsible for debugging build breaks and driving the resolution of build and runtime errors. 2 plus years work related experience required. Knowledge of applicable build processes and of Microsoft development tools required. Knowledge of Windows is required; knowledge of Windows NT may be required. Knowledge of Perl preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently, and as part of a team required. Knowledge of Product Studio and Source Depot preferred. Familiarity with product development cycle and with international issues may be required. Previous experience with SQL Server and ODBC preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. *Requirements:* · Scripting: NT Batch, Perl, SQL queries · General: Source Management operations, HTML/XML, basic server maintenance · Comfortable working at the command line; · Coding: Enough knowledge of C/C++ to determine how a change is breaking a build.
