We do not want someone that we would give requirements to and then the analyst would go and figure out the answer. We are looking for someone who can take a business problem, perform analysis using SQL (and SAS) to provide the answer to the that was defined as well as other insights into the behavior of customers. *Required: * - *SQL query writing for Oracle, Netezza and Teradata.* - Experience working with large databases. - *Experience and Proficiency in using SAS.* - Ability to work under tight deadlines. - Develop and provide standard and ad hoc reporting for strategic customers. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills. - Have intellectual curiosity about data and its implications. - Microsoft Excel and Access power user. Advanced charting, report creation, pivot tables, vlookups, etc. - Ability to glean key insights from data. - Excellent business acumen and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal and communication skills. - Detail oriented, fast learner with strong analytical organizational skills. *Desired: * - Statistics. Estimating sample sizes for test groups. Determining statistical significance of test results. Developing predictive models. - Team Player with high degree of self-motivation. - SAS certification is VERY desirable. - Group facilitation and presentation experience is a plus. - Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer orientation. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Experience creating reports with Business Objects and Omniture. -- Thanks!!!
