Basic Qualifications:
• BSCS
• 6-7 years recent experience with administration of mySQL in a highly
available high traffic web site
• Minimum 5 years mySQL DBA experience
All candidates must have mission critical experience supporting high volume
and uptime.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations In this role, you will be working in
a small team providing database administration support, architecture and
design of our open source mySQL servers.
• Administration of many different clusters of mySQL servers
• Troubleshoot various DB issues
• Configure and manage mySQL monitoring applications
• Work with engineering to make sure the queries / structure is efficient
Specific Knowledge/Skills • 6-7 years recent experience with administration
of mySQL in a highly available high traffic web site
• BSCS
• Minimum 5 years mySQL DBA experience
• Experience in a high-volume or mission critical production service
environment.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with other organizations
• Enthusiasm for helping a team set and achieve goals
• Working knowledge of Linux and basic network concepts
• Excellent experience with DB architecture design and performance tuning
• Experience working with mySQL cluster / replication
• Must have worked with engineering on DB performance tuning
• Experience with PostgreSQL / Oracle a plus
